Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Upon arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Nairobi - Tree Hotel
Leave in the morning to reach the small town of Nyeri. After a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel proceed to the tree hotel in the early afternoon. The night is spent in your comfortable perch above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick where, throughout the night, a procession of animals comes to drink.
Day 3: Tree Hotel - Mt Kenya
After breakfast a short drive brings you to the Mount Kenya Safari Club. The Club is situated at the foot of Mt. Kenya (17,058 feet). The elitist membership of this club would include movie stars, aristocrats and politicians, both local and international. Here you may spend a day of total relaxation in the beautiful landscaped gardens. Activities include golf, tennis, horseback riding and swimming in the heated pool.
Day 4: Mt Kenya - Nakuru
This morning, travel over the top of the Aberdare Mountains, stopping briefly to marvel at the spectacular 73m - high Thompson's Falls. Continue to Nakuru for lunch. Afterwards, drive around Lake Nakuru National Park for an unforgettable sight of the thousands of flamingos on this alkaline lake. The park is also home to the rare white rhinos as well as the Rothschild's giraffe. Mostly open savanna the park has both fever trees and umbrella-top acacias growing in a abundance as well as Euphorbias.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru/ Naivasha - Masai Mara
There's time after breakfast to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake before leaving for Masai Mara National Reserve where you arrive by lunchtime. In the afternoon explore the rolling hills and plains for a wonderful sight of the great numbers of different species of animals found here including the black - manned lion for which the reserve is famous.
Day 6: Masai Mara
Today, enjoy a full day of game viewing Kenya's array of wildlife in their natural habitat. More than 60 species of animals are found here as well as myriad of birds. Near water holes clusters of trees provide shade as well as foliage to elephants and flat-topped acacia supply the Maasai giraffe with their favourite food.
Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi - Depart
After breakfast return to Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley.
